1. Introduction

Welcome to The Web Designers (operated by Stephanie, freelance web designer). These Terms of Service govern your use of my website and services. By accessing my website or requesting my services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Services Offered

I provide the following website design and optimization services:

• One-Page Websites — Starting at $600–$1200
• Multi-Page Websites — Starting at $1500–$4000+
• Website Redesign — Modernizing existing sites
• Online Visibility Report — $100 audit

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and do not include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

3. The Process

3.1 Discovery & Quote

After you contact me, we'll discuss your needs. I'll provide a detailed quote outlining the scope, timeline, and cost. No work begins until you approve the quote.

3.2 Deposit & Project Start

A 50% deposit is required to begin work on website projects. The remaining 50% is due before launch or upon completion.

3.3 Revisions

I include reasonable revisions during the design phase. Major changes beyond the original scope may incur additional costs.

3.4 Delivery & Launch

Once final payment is received, your website will be launched. You'll receive all files and login credentials if applicable.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment methods: E-transfer, credit card, or PayPal
• Deposit: 50% upfront to reserve your spot and begin work
• Final payment: 50% before website launch
• Visibility Report: 100% payment before report delivery

5. Cancellation and Refunds

If you cancel a project after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable as it covers time already invested. If I am unable to complete the project for any reason, you will receive a prorated refund for work not yet done.

Visibility Reports are non-refundable once delivered, as they are custom, personalized audits.

6. Your Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth process, you agree to:

• Provide all necessary content (text, images, branding) in a timely manner
• Respond to requests for feedback within a reasonable timeframe
• Ensure you have the rights to any content you provide (photos, logos, etc.)

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to any content you provide (text, photos, logos). You grant me permission to use this content solely for the purpose of building your website.

7.2 My Work

Upon full payment, you own the final website design and code. I retain the right to display the website in my portfolio and marketing materials.

7.3 Third-Party Assets

If your website uses third-party plugins, fonts, or stock photos, those remain under their respective licenses.

8. Limitation of Liability

I strive to deliver high-quality work, but I cannot guarantee specific business results (such as increased sales or traffic). To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of my services.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Edmonton, Alberta.

10. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms of Service occasionally. The "Last Updated" date shows when it was last revised. Continued use of my services after changes constitutes acceptance.
